Not only will the new version of The Sims 3 be playable on newer Mac OS versions but there’s also some data management improvements as well that’s been done behind the scenes that would fully optimize the 64bit switch.Ĭheck out the official statement from MaxisJoe regarding the next release:

The reason for this upgrade is because Mac OS recently did its own update a year ago, requiring all software to switch to the 64bit functioning causing all 32bit software to go obselete until they get updated.
The Sims 3 will finally be playable on your Mac devices starting October 28th on Origin! That’s right, the Metal 64bit version of The Sims 3 will fully make its way on Origin for your pleasure if you already own the game in your library with a new “The Sims 3 64-bit & Metal” title.
